Un|Filtered
Exhibition / Motion Graphics
A
group Exhibition project and proposal that won the Third Space area at
the University of Houston. Un|Filtered focuses on life-giving water, how it
connects and threatens us, and how water on the Gulf Coast represents global
crises: flooding, subsidence, stormwater runoff, and water inequality. The
exhibition investigates this relationship through a literal and metaphorical
lens—using color progression, redaction, data and cinepoems—to uncover not only
the statistical realities of this compromised resource but also the
unresolvable metaphysical ones.
The team overseeing the exhibition was consisted of Yoo-Ell Lee, Andréa Barela, Colton McKinney and Braden Turrentine.
The cinepoem, “Another World” is also a key component of the exhibition. It is one of the 5 cinepoems that is featured during the show. Its main visual thematics is the juxtaposition of nature to infrasturcture.
Won the 2022 SEGD Global Design Merit Award in the Exhibition Category.
